Shallow Pockets Brimming with History and Traditions

The weekend before Halloween Jonny and I explored his hometown of Stafford. We did a bit of costume shopping, I finally got a long overdue Pumpkin Spice Latte, and we wandered into a cool old building that turned out to be the Stafford History Museum.

{Pre-made cards to be sent home to soldiers' families; just circle the one that applies to you!}

{There were squirrels EVERYWHERE. Aw, Alpha Gam.}

{This reminded me of the computer game Oregon Trail when you had to stock up on supplies at the General Store before becoming a pioneer.}

{Historically accurate.}

{Fun fact: Soldiers used to put escape maps onto silk.}

After we felt thoroughly enriched we delved into a Halloween tradition that apparently is much bigger in America- JACK O'LANTERNS!! It was Jonny's very first. I think he did a wonderfully creative job.

 {Carving snack- thank you, ASDA!}

BOO!
